Marianna, born and raised in Piraeus, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, and Culture from the Panteion University of Political and Social Sciences in Athens. She has a wealth of experience in International Transportation and Trade, Business Management, Media and Event Organizing. For the love of her hometown and during the Greek financial crisis she co-founded a local volunteer group Pire-Active to make the city more beautiful and the citizens happier with environmental and philanthropic actions throughout the city, joining the bigger movement of “istas” that arose across the country at the time.
Her Canadian life started in 2016 when she immigrated with her family to Edmonton first and she lives in Toronto since 2019. Her restless spirit keeps her occupied with volunteering for cultural and media organizations in Toronto and holds the positions of General Manager for Agape Greek Radio and Director of Sales & Marketing for the Greek International Film Festival Tour of Canada at a national level.
Proven entrepreneurial mindset and cultural supporter as Founder of Empiria World Inc. operating the online cultural platforms Empiria Greece and Empiria Events for the global Greek communities. Highly focused on customer service, community building, and business relations to promote and support everything Greek.
